General information of Hong Ky sanding system

Brush sanding was invented in Europe to remove fibres and sharp edges after belt sanding.

It can also sand mouldings and profile doors.

It removes shape edges and fibres and makes it ready for lacquer or other type of finishing as wax –oil and soap treatment.

Many years ago, when water born lacquer products were developed in Europe; it showed the necessity of better sanding – especially brush sanding was necessary to make a good surface with this new invented water born lacquer products.

Now it is proved that stain penetration is more even, and it is possible to reduce the lacquer application with up to 25% and is more environment friendly and save production cost.

With the new generation of sanding system, and new invented machines it’s possible to remove roughly 30-40% of hand sanding /manual sanding in all productions.

Traditional belt sanding, with high pressure and with a high friction press the fibres down and create sharp edges.

With sharp edges it is not possible to sealer sand without over sanding.

In general, all parts must be sealer sand with brush sanding must be brush sand before first time sealer.

Actually, Brush sanding system support :

• No sharp edges
• Less fibre to remove
• Easy sealer sanding

Even wide belt sanders with cross sanding units cannot get same effect and create sharp edges.

Brush sanding mostly work with two different rotation

Brush sanding sands with low speed, low friction. It lifts fibbers and cut them off at the same time.
